Welcome to Tulsa Retriever Club

Tulsa Retriever Club (TRC) is a non-profit, AKC retriever club in Tulsa, OK. Our membership is from all over the NE OK area and is a diverse group of hunters, hunt test/field trial competitors and retriever enthusiasts brought together by our common interest in and love of the retriever. From the first-time retriever owner to those competing at advanced levels, TRC welcomes all and maintains its commitment to the purebred retriever by holding educational seminars, hunt tests, field trials, training days, featured guests, a youth hunter camp and more.

TRC is also a proud and supporting member of the Master National Retriever Club (MNRC), the Master Amateur Retriever Club (MARC), the National Retriever Club (NRC), the National Amateur Retriever Club (NARC) and the National Derby Club (NRD). Our affiliation with these organizations enables us to continue our education and experience with the retriever community at these elite levels. TRC is dedicated to enhancing and advancing our experience with our retrievers.

As a club of retriever enthusiasts, our main desire is to come together and learn from one another and enjoy our time in the field with our dogs. No matter your interest or knowledge, we welcome you and look forward to getting to know you and your dog. We hold monthly training days that are open to the public and we invite you to attend (schedule below).

In Loving Memory of Richard Davis

On March 5, 2023, we lost a great friend, one of our own, a dedicated club member, Richard Davis. We are heartbroken by Richard's passing and extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Richard was a passionate waterfowl hunter and everything retriever. He loved hunting with his brother, Scott, and their hunting group. They made many memories in the field and you could often find Richard and Scott of an evening on the buggy riding the property together ending a day well spent in the field with love and respect.

He was incredibly dedicated to his Midway Retriever brotherhood and their bond was evident to all who knew them. Richard loved the trial game, played it very well, attended many national events and had several FC AFC's. A testament to his dedication to the game.

Richard's professional life was also to be admired. A professional football player and a true athlete, Richard was also the cornerstone of GoFit and Gunner's Up. His commitment was as fierce in the business world as it was on the playing field and trial field and we keep his work family in our thoughts and prayers, too.

Most importantly, however, was Richard's love and dedication to his wife Corie and their children, Callie and Cade, his brother and sister in law and his parents. It was very clear that they were the single most IMPORTANT treasures in his life.

We will miss you tremendously, Richard. Thank you for being a part of Tulsa Retriever Club, for your contributions to the retriever community and everything in between. May God Bless you and hold you in His loving arms until we meet again.

Sincerely, TRC

If you would like, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Richard’s memory to the Tulsa County YMCA Youth Sports, 5400 South Olympia Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74015, or at www.ymcatulsa.org .
