Membership

Tulsa Retriever Club is always eager for new, enthusiastic members who share in our love of the retrieving breed. As an AKC club, we are committed to representing the breed and our club with a standard of excellence. Whether you desire a gun dog, working dog or competitive dog in the hunt test or field trial arena, our member base is knowledgable in it all.

There are many benefits of being a member of a retriever club.  First, monthly meetings and training days keep us connected, providing an opportunity to share experience and knowledge. Our goal is to advance and enhance our experience with our retrievers. Whether it's going to "the line" or sitting in a blind waiting for that perfect shot, we all agree it's one of the most thrilling experiences we share with our four-legged companions. Our monthly meetings and training days help us to prepare for those memorable moments!

Tulsa Retriever Club also hosts a spring and fall hunt test and field trial. Coordinating and working these club events is another way we gain experience and knowledge as a handler. Getting that "bird's eye" view into the workings of a test - set up, throwing birds, loading a winger, marshaling, game steward, chairman, hunt test secretary, just to name a few of the many positions - provides invaluable experience.

These are just a few of the many ways to gain experience with your retriever and we welcome the opportunity to help.  So, please come join us at our next club meeting and see what we're all about. These meetings and training days are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.  If you have questions or comments about club membership, please reach us through the Contact Us page. If you’d like to become a member, download the Membership Application and mail to the PO Box address provided.
